Common questions
Is BERHUB free for customers?
Submitting a quote and reviewing bids is completely free. When you accept a bid, you pay a 10% deposit of the quoted price to unlock your chosen assessor's contact details. You pay the balance directly to the assessor.
How fast will I get bids?
Most projects receive their first bid within a few hours. By the next morning you typically have several to compare.
Does BERHUB cover all counties in the Republic of Ireland?
Yes. BERHUB works with SEAI-registered assessors across all 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland: Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow.
Are all assessors qualified?
Yes. Only SEAI-registered BER assessors can bid, and each is manually verified by our admin team before approval. We highly recommend you also ask your chosen assessor to provide proof of active SEAI registration.
Who pays the assessor for the actual survey?
You do, directly. The price you see in their bid is the full price — BERHUB takes a 10% deposit of the bid price and you pay the balance directly to the assessor.
How does BERHUB make money?
We don't charge customers a platform fee. BERHUB takes a 10% deposit of the quoted price from each accepted bid — that's our platform fee. The customer pays the remaining balance directly to the assessor.
Can refunds be issued?
If there's an issue with your assessment or you decide to cancel before the survey takes place, your 10% deposit is fully refundable. After the survey has taken place, the deposit is generally non-refundable, but you can contact us and we'll review your case.
